Close Joint Stock Company «RUSAVIA» was established in 1991, base on Aviation Scientifically Industrial Complex «MiG» (ASIC «MiG») and commercial structures of graduated specialists of the Physical Technical Institute. Share of the CJSC «RUSAVIA» in the Chartered Capital of ASIC «MiG» was 50%. Combination of experience the «Mikoyan Design Bureau» with youth and enthusiasm of graduated specialists of the PhysicalTechnical Institute allowed to be effectively engaged in development and repair aviation equipment using new technologies, including the items of dual application.

According to the stipulations/requirements of the Legislation and Standard Acts, adopted in the Russian Federation, «RUSAVIA» carries out its activities on the appropriate Licenses, issued by the Federal Agency on Industry of the Russian Federation on February 02 of 2005 for: the military equipment and armament manufacturing and repair (No. 003505, 003506); the aircraft equipment including aviation equipment of dual application development, manufacture and repair/overhaul of (No. 003503, 003507, 003499); the military equipment and armament development (No. 003504).
